Entry requirements: There are no formal educational requirements. You should have a minimum English skill equivalent to level 0 of the International Second Language Proficiency Ratings (ISLPR) or level 1 of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Career opportunities: Employment, further vocation education and greater involvement in the wider community. Statement of Attainment in (NRT) General and Vocational Education Course No 6513 Duration Up to 18 weeks full-time, up to 1 year part-time Location Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Mount Druitt, Nepean (Kingswood), Richmond For people who want to develop knowledge and skills towards a NSW School Certificate or equivalent, and for people who want to build knowledge and skills for entry into Certificate III and IV qualifications. Entry requirements: There are no formal educational requirements. Career opportunity: Assistance to gain entry to employment and further education and training. Strands o ered: Mount Druitt/Nepean (Kingswood) -- TPC/HSC Preparation -- this strand is an orientation course for people who want to improve their skills and knowledge in order to gain entry into further general education at TAFE NSW. Certificate II in (NRT) General and Vocational Education (CGVE) Course No 6512 National Code 91345NSW Duration Up to 1 year full-time, up to 2 years part-time Location Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Mount Druitt (Stage 2 only), Nepean (Kingswood), Richmond For people who have not previously achieved a NSW School Certificate. This qualification assists you to develop general education, employability and industry specific knowledge and skills at a Year 10 equivalent standard. Entry requirements: There are no formal educational requirements. However, literacy and numeracy skills will be assessed prior to course entry. You should be able to demonstrate competence at level 3 of the National Reporting System (NRS) in Reading, Writing, Oral Communication and Numeracy prior to course entry. If you cannot meet these standards, you are advised to enrol in courses to meet your needs to level 3 of the NRS. Certificate II in (NRT) Government Services Course No 5165 National Code 91453NSW Duration Up to 1 year part-time Location Mount Druitt Helps you to develop a broad range of skills and knowledge relating to protocols, community, and socio- economic positioning of Aboriginal people. It will also show you how to develop and apply personal strategies to identify and deal with racism. You will cover workplace competencies that lay a foundation for a career in the public sector or local government. Although these competencies have a particular focus on a public service or local government context they are also transferable to other work contexts. Entry requirements: Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people. There are no formal educational requirements. Career opportunity: Employment in the public service or local government. Certificate I in (NRT) Japanese Course No 6476 National Code 91169NSW Duration 17 weeks part-time Location Baulkham Hills (Baulkham Hills) TAFE PLUS fee applies Studying this course will provide you with the basics of speaking, reading and writing in Japanese. Entry requirements: There are no formal educational requirements.
