There is a wide variety of jobs; some are highly creative or technical, while others are administrative or customer-service oriented. A successful career in the arts does not mean you have to be an artist -- there are many other options. Many people work behind the scenes in the arts. For example, the performance of a play requires not only actors but a range of people including a producer, director, lighting technician, stage manager and costume designer. Behind every performance and exhibition there are many people responsible for putting on a show!
